7. Credits, Subscriptions, and Billing

The Service offers one-off credit packs and monthly subscription plans. Credits are used to unlock paid articles. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel through the billing portal on your profile.

• Subscription credits are added when each paid invoice is processed
• You may cancel or change plans at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period
• Digital bonuses on higher tiers (ebooks, consultation time) are described on the Plans page
• Refunds follow applicable consumer law and Stripe payment policies unless otherwise agreed in writing

8. Paid Article License and Restricted Uses

When you unlock a paid article, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, non-commercial license to access and read that article for your own internal use for 1 year from the unlock date.

This license is strict and does not permit republication, redistribution, resale, derivative publication, archiving, indexing, data extraction, automated summarization, or any automated processing of the article content.

You must not, and must not allow any third party to:

• Use unlocked article content to train, fine-tune, validate, or evaluate AI/ML models
• Use unlocked article content in AI-generated summaries, embeddings, datasets, or retrieval pipelines
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, transform, or quote unlocked article content using bots, scripts, or AI tools
• Republish or distribute unlocked article content, in full or substantial part, in any medium
• Use unlocked article content in ways that substitute for purchasing lawful access
• Reuse article content obtained from leaked copies, piracy websites, shared folders, or unauthorized collections
• Claim fair use, educational use, research use, or non-commercial use as a defense for any prohibited use listed here

The restrictions in this section apply to the content regardless of where you obtained it, including if a copy was acquired from a third party, a data dump, an archive, or an unauthorized source.

Linking to the original article is allowed. Limited human-written quotation is permitted only if it does not disclose essential original substance and includes clear attribution and a link to the source.

Any use outside this license is unauthorized. You agree that breach may result in immediate termination of access, account restrictions, injunctive relief, statutory and contractual damages, recovery of legal costs, and all other available remedies. A separate commercial/content-processing license may be available by written agreement, with a minimum fee of 1000x the standard single-article unlock price, plus any additional contractual fees.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
